Pleasant Creek School
The Youth in Care (YIC) program consists of three rehabilitation homes:
Blue Hills Residential Treatment
Compass Academy
Pineridge Behavioral Health
Students are assigned to live at a residential treatment center (RTC) by a court judge and are released pending their progress in the program. YIC students are only temporarily enrolled at Pleasant Creek School before they return home to continue their education.
The primary goal for YIC students is to acclimate them back into habits of attending school. YIC students receive in-person instruction in the core courses required by the State of Utah. Online education is available to YIC students as needed, and each course is personalized to each student’s need.
Upon graduation from the program, students receive any credit they completed at Pleasant Creek and those credits are automatically transferred to their home boundary school.
